Slow-moving slimes may not seem like much of a challenge, but if you stumble across a good-sized bunch, things can take a turn quickly. Not only do they do a surprising amount of damage, but if you die, you’ll also need to head back to that area to reclaim just about everything you had in your pack (only equipment and whatever was in your quickbar will respawn with you).

Minecart goes on tracks, riding it beats walking and maybe it doesn't need a complicated system of switches and sidings to get the job done. The underground world of Core Keeper stretches on for functionally forever, filled with chasms, monsters, resources beyond measure and even an underground sea. There's a huge amount of ways to play with it all and sometimes that's more than enough.
Even if we’ve seen these ideas before in other games, this is still the kind of meandering sandbox that I can enjoy losing myself in.
Copper can be found throughout the Dirt Biome, and getting a full set of Copper Armor is enough to give yourself a chance against fighting Glurch. However, you can also progress to Tin and Iron before you even take on your first boss if you want to.
You’ll come across plenty of naturally occurring food, but it’s not nearly as effective as the health boost and extra perks you can get from learning to cook.
And I've got a nice dirt patch where I can plunk down seeds, I dug a long trench from a pond all the way to my base so Core Keeper Gameplay I can fill my watering can without having to venture out, and I've even got a patch of rock set up to grow my new carrots (they're actually called carrocks, since they only grow on rock).
